7th International Congress of Language, Linguistic, and Technology

TechLING is an international congress dedicated to exploring the emerging synergies between languages, linguistics, arts, data, and computational technologies within the innovative field of Digital Humanities. Since 2016, the event has brought together faculty members, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral candidates, language teachers, translators, interpreters, and entrepreneurs interested in linguistic issues, among others.

We invite researchers and students to submit papers in English as a PDF file formatted according to this template:

There are two types of submissions: (i) full papers and (ii) short papers (i.e., extended abstracts).

  *   Full papers reporting work with solid results, consisting of 10 to 15 pages (including references).
  *   Short papers reporting ongoing work or position papers, comprising 6 to 9 pages (including references)

Both full and short papers will be presented orally in plenary sessions. Papers must be submitted through CMT3 using the following URL: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/techling2024


Important Dates


Publication


At least one author of an accepted paper must register and attend the conference to carry out the presentation.
All accepted papers will be published as a book in an indexed publication.
The two best papers from each track will be invited to submit an extended version to be evaluated for publication in the International Journal H2D.

Papers submitted to the event should address topics related to Linguistic, Humanities, and Technologies, such as:

Track 1: Digital technologies and education
Track 2: Language and Society
Track 3: Emerging technologies and sustainability
Track 4: Digital Arts
Track 5: Digital technologies in healthcare
Track 6: Workshop of Theses and Dissertation

The workshop encourages the exchange of innovative ideas and research methods, promoting an environment that nurtures academic and professional development. The goal is to connect graduate students with faculty, providing constructive feedback and academic networking opportunities.

Participants have the chance to explore and exchange knowledge about research methods and tools. During the workshop, the students present their theses and dissertations. These moments allow participants not only to showcase their findings but also to receive valuable guidance on how to improve their research. Through this dynamic, the workshop seeks to foster a collaborative community of scholars committed to the integration of humanities and technology, thus contributing to significant advancements in the field.
